placebook

June 22, 2007 9 pm - 6 am

Vancouver Art Gallery's FUSE

What happens when social utilities meet in real space and real time?

placebook is an analog, DIY version of facebook.com, the latest networking craze to hit the world wide web. On June 22, neworldtheatre occupied the spaces and places of the Vancouver Art Gallery to see who was there, gather information and capture the moment with a Polaroid. This information was posted on a cumulative display that tracked the random (and not so random) connections at FUSE.

Conceived by: Adrienne Wong, Mirae Rosner, and Marcus Youssef

Featuring the Social Utility Team: Tanya Podlozniuk, Caroline Liffmann, Mirae Rosner and Adrienne Wong.
