Premiered 2006 at the Magnetic North Festival
Based on the novel by Naguib Mahfouz. Egypt, 2007. A group of secular friends get together every night on a Nile River houseboat to get really baked and flip the bird at a crazy, fucked-up world. When a devout young journalist invades the group, however, the Cairo houseboat starts to feel like it’s been transplanted to flood-ravaged New Orleans.
