It’s back! We’re super excited to be partnering with our dear friends at the frank theatre to bring a queer, intersectional focus to the curation of this edition of Another Window, our annual interdisciplinary and inter-cultural cabaret.
The premise for this show is that Vancouver is just a big enough place that most of our cultural audiences are segmented into disciplines, genres and social identities. This event is designed to knock down these walls and build community in the process. Programming includes “blind dates,” where artists from different cultures and disciplines are paired together to create original performances.
Hosted by Mx Bukuru (Dominique Wakeland), Another Window will feature performances from Queer As Funk, Jackson Tse, Sara Vickruck, Mehdi Farshidfar, Daisy Thompson, Hari Alluri and Edzi’u. More details here on the facebook event page.
We would like to acknowledge that this event takes place on the Unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.
