Moonweavings is a puppet show that offers young children a vibrant cultural experience, seamlessly connecting rich contemporary Latin American children’s music—celebrated on stages across the region—with Latin American kids and children hearing this music for the first time.
Long after they should be asleep, three young cousins reunited on a family summer vacation transform their beach cottage bedroom into a theatrical haven. Their imaginative play takes them through enchanting stories and Latin American children’s music.
From Ana Lorena: “As a parent, I understand the profound need for nurturing environments where children can experience the tenderness, fantastic beauty, and playful magic that their developing minds crave—a celebration of cultural roots and the universal wonder of childhood. As a Latin American migrant parent, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to find those nurturing artistic environments that speak directly to my kid’s Latinx heart. In this place, the roots of identity run deep.”
